Aspire Community Works – our cookies policy
Introduction
Our website uses cookies. By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.
This policy explains what cookies are and how we use them on this site. You can opt out of cookies at any time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that web sites store on their visitors’ computer hard drives. They are sent by a web server to the web browser. They are used to make web sites work more efficiently and they also provide information to the website owners.
A cookie often contains a unique number. This can be used to recognise your computer when a user of your computer returns to a website that it visited previously. Cookies do not generally contain any information that personally identifies a user.
When you visit a website that uses cookies for the first time, a cookie is downloaded onto your computer. The next time you visit that website, your computer or other device checks to see if it has a cookie that is relevant and sends the information contained in that cookie back to the website. The website then notes that you have been there before and can tailor what pops up on screen to take account of that fact. It might also record how long you spend on each page on a site, what links you click and so on.
What types of cookies are used on Aspire’s website
Two types of cookies may be used on the site –session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary. They remain on your device until you leave the site. A persistent cookie remains on your device for much longer or until you manually delete it.
Some of the pages you visit may also collect information using pixel tags (also called clear gifs) that may be shared with third parties to track user activity. For example, website usage information about visitors to the site. The information is not, however, personally identifiable.

You can block and delete cookies at any time but you may find it more difficult to access our site if you do.
